Mereka

Menelusuri dinginnya jalanan ibukota, bergumul dengan hiruk-pikuk warganya, terlihat sebuah kontradiksi yang mencolok dan menusuk hati nurani. Anak-anak tak cukup umur, berlarian kesana kemari memegang kantong berisikan hasil jerih payahnya. Bau tak sedap yang tak seharusnya hinggap pada tubuh mereka yang mungil, menambah hinaan yang telah ada. Cara berpakaian yang makin memperjelas bahwa mereka adalah yang harus diprioritaskan, menggambarkan guratan kesedihan akan takdirnya. Apa yang sesungguhnya ada dalam benaknya? Mencari sesuap nasi atau memang terintimidasi? Apakah mereka menginginkan ada pada posisi tersebut? Apa yang kita perbuat? Menghujat?

Beramai-ramai kaum tingkat atas memperebutkan harta, jabatan dan penampilan, berlari tanpa sudi melihat ke posisi paling rendah juga selalu menengadah ke arah awan bernanung. Melihat katalog berisikan produk model terbaru, mengikuti kelas-kelas yang akan hanya mereka pergunakan untuk mempercerdas dirinya sendiri, dan mencerca bagaimana sebuah alur yang memang sudah teratur. Kalian?

Dengan uang yang mereka miliki untuk sekali mengenyangkan perut, mereka dapat menggunakannya untuk senin sampai minggu. Dengan uang yang mereka miliki untuk satu baju, mereka dapat memiliki empat sampai lima baju baru. Ilmu yang mereka miliki untuk memperkaya diri, siapakah yang miskin sekarang?

Berkali-kali mereka menghujat Tuhan, berkali-kali pula mereka mengagumi indahnya menjadi pelengkap. Tak akan ada mereka jika tak ada kalian, begitu juga sebaliknya.

Tundukkan kepala kalian, lihatlah sekitar. Pejamkan mata kalian, lihatlah yang tengah terpejam, bersimpuh, menanti akan hadirnya sebuah keadilan.
